Leave your box plugged in, if power is disconnected from the box for very long periods of time, like weeks, it will lose software updates that it needs, and because of this will not be usable when you return.
Ask Spectrum if they can put a freeze on your account (deactivate it) the day you go on vacation.) When you return, you can call them back, and have them re-activate your equipment. This is so you don't have to make cable payments while you are on vacation. TWC used to do this. Don't see why Spectrum would not. But leave your box plugged in.
However, the policy was that you could only freeze your account for a certain number of times within a year long period. This was under TWC. You may get better help with this, and see what the new policy is at Spectrum regarding going on vacation and the need to freeze accounts during that time. Please contact
