The codes on your account to the DVR may have been lost due to an overnight update. It's rare but it happens. Tech should check signals as well. Try to not to reboot anything for six hours (boxes, modems, routers) before your appointment This resets the error codes back to zero. The tech needs to see those codes.
What make and model box is this, and what is the error message you get? When you go to DVR Manager to check recordings, please include for us the message that shows, AND any number in parenthesis.
