When I ordered the adapter, I was told I could get all the channels I was paying for with the new adapter. I can't. Calls to Spectrum are all automated, so I cannot get a live person, no matter how much I try. They say they will call back because they are so busy, but they don't. Now when I try to get them to call back, I get a message to schedule a service appointment. I don't need that. All I want is to find out how to get the channels I am paying for on my free ($6.99 a month after one year) digital adapter. I'm tired of calling Spectrumand getting recorded messages and no one to solve the problem. Please tell me how to get the channels i am missing.
Greetings,
Unfortunately, some of the channels now mandate a move to renting a cable box from Spectrum. This is because of the move to an all-digital network and more and Internet interactions between the cable boxes and the servers. Remember, that Spectrum's help with tuning adapters is very limited, because it's a third party software that is not theirs.
What is your current service level with Spectrum? My advice would be to visit a Spectrum store and ask about a deal on getting a cable box from them. You will be able to get all the channels you need from them. Customers have reported better deals at the in-person stores than calling over the phone.
