I am very upset that you are removing cinemax from my silver package but not adding anything in it's place and also not reducing the package price. I think this is totally wrong and deceiving. My bill has gone up every year and yet I have got nothing new and I cannot get you to work with me to kower my bill. I liked Spectrum when I first purchased but now I'm seeing why people told me not to switch.

There is some confusuin.  This is what I know so far,

The owners of the premium channels are insisting on TV vendors paying more for those channels.  Spectrum wants to keep the package bundles discounted, so in order to avoid a big rate increase to this discounted bundles, some premiums have to be trimmed from those bundles

Mods please correct if the following is wrong, but this is what I heard today:

Spectrum Silver is going to include Tier 1 + HBO and Showtime. for new customers  (If you currently have tier 2, you won't lose tier 2, just Cinamax.)

Spectrum Gold will include everything in Silver + Digi tier 2 + The Movie Channel

You can also add Digital Tier 2 to Silver if you want to save $7 off of Gold and give up the Movie Channel.

If you want to keep your Cinamax, I heard that there is a deal where if you call before February 15th that they will let you keep it for $5/month for 12months and than $10 a month thereafter.  Not sure, but they might be able to give you something like that.

Epix, Cinemax, Starz and StarzEncore are no longer bundled into these tiers.

I have Gold with all the movie channels currently, but I am not interested in them enough to keep them ala-carte.  I am not thrilled with this decision either, but it's either that or a big price increase for Silver and Gold Packages.  Spectrum chose to keep the cost down by trimming some channels from packages.
