Thanks for your info anyway. The older box was not like this Spectrum 101 box they put in.
It is by design with the new World Boxes and Spectrum Guide. If it was a true lock-up, the EXIT button would not work. Your only option is to exhange the box for a box with a clock, which wll have the older guide.
