If you need to replace the box go to a store in person...don't do a truck roll. Since you have WH-DVR there are only two boxes capable of this and you have one of them (the other is the Arris DCX3600-M I think?) . In person you will be able to confirm you get the right box and not one of the new Spectrum 210 boxes that are not compatible with WH-DVR.

I agree with Reds,

One other option, call Spectrum and have them reauthorize your box to your account.  But let them know that you don't want a truck roll for fear of losing the box.  Tell the CSR, that you would rather exchange the box at a Spectrum Store.

The other thing that I was going to suggest is that there is a way that is techy, but it involves a set of command menus that will allow the user to reformat the DVR and in situations like this it HAS restored record functionality to the box.  Most cable companies, Spectrum included don't like to give out that set of commands, because it is known by cable techs only, and they don't want average Joe's/Janes doing those steps.  YOU WILL LOSE ALL SHOWS AND RECORDED SERIES ON THE DVR IF YOU REFORMAT THE HARD DRIVE!  ALL SETTINGS WILL ALSO GO BACK TO FACTORY DEFAULTS.

Assuming that OP is running ODN Navigator Guide.  OP suggested a series of button presses or commands to try to restore record functionality to the box. If somebody knows the steps, (I personally do not.) they can respond that they do, and OP can send a PM to them. for the steps. Those six-tuner boxes are the best out there and this idea is probably the best way to try to save it.  I don't know if I would go this route myself, but I know that a tech menu for doing this is offered in ODN.  Not sure if this works in Spectrum Guide.
