We have a DVR going on 2 years old and I think it's seen better days. The TV will go blank and in the past, a hard reboot would bring everything back to life. Not any more. There is a multitude of errors mentioned in the subject line  - I can't recall them all. Then a box appeared in the center of the screen showing rows od numbers/data - addresses??

Anyway, before I call service wanted to get any input that might get it going. Thanks.

Best things here:

1.). You need to call Spectrum for a tech dispatch to do a signal and line test.  Bad signals won't be solved by box replacements.  You will need to avoid rebooting any boxes, modems, or routers, for six hours to avoid a reset of the signal levels error codes.  Tech should check back of TV/outlet connections, basement, and outside drop-line, and main junction box on street for the most complete signal test.

2) Bad box- needs to be swapped out. What is the make and model of the box that's not booting?

 Important Considerations

A.) If you have Caller ID on TV service, it will be LOST if you get a World Box. (Box without a clock.)

B.) The best boxes out there are the Arris 3600 and the Samsung 9865 with six tuners, but they are very, very rare.  These are clock boxes.  If you get a clock box,  you will probably get a different model Arris or Samsung, but it will only have two tuners,  Arris and Samsung are great clock boxes!

C.) Don't get an SA model box, these are 15-20 years old and are crap!

D.) If you can only get a World Boxes, get a Technicolor or an Arris over the Humax.  They have four tuners, but have the same storage space as the six-tuner clock DVRs. 1TB.
