Recorded a program on Arris 3600 DVR-HD.  Program can be watched in its entirety on that DVR.  When viewing same program on another TV connected to Samsung H3362 Digital Receiver, the program appears to be completely recorded, but when watching, it stops around the 20-30 minute mark and jumps to the end.  Tried rebooting - did not remedy.  Any ideas?  Defeats the purpose of being able to watch a program on the satellite Digital Receiver if I have to go to the other room where the DVR is to finish the program.

Hello,

Our first focus would be to check the signal levels coming to and going from the Samsung H 3362 box.  To do this, contact Spectrum for a signal and drop line test on that box.  Most importantly, avoid rebooting any boxes, modems, or routers for six hours prior to your service call,  Reboots of any equipment will reset the signal error codes that the tech needs to see. Ask the tech to check out two things:

1.) The channel on which the DVR recording content stopped.

2.) Also, have him do a signal test by tuning to any free On Demand Channel,  On Demand problems are usually the first source of signal issues and can even spread to other stations and areas of the system over periods of time,

Your Arris 3600 should be left alone, Signal problems and line problems can never be solved with box swaps, and rebooting with signal issues with only be a temporary fix until the wiring, line, splitters are removed, and problem is resolved,

If your tech finds that your signals and lines are good, than the Samsung box, and only the Samsung box should be replaced.
