Greetings,
The newest boxes are Arris, Cisco, and Samsung. They have new features, better search, On Demand cover art and a cool DVR Manager for DVR subscribers. Lots of storage. The box you should NOT have is any type of SA box. Those are about fifteen years old and have severe hardware limitations. They have two speeds, slower, and slowest. Storage is limited on an SA box because of the aged hardware.
Get your signal and line test checked out! It is possible that the lines may be corroded, causing relay problems with On Demand. If you have an old SA box, in addition to a tech dispatch for a signal and drop line test, you should also request a newer model box. However, as I said, your signals for VOD must be strong. That is the first priority. Tune to the VOD channels that are problematic when the tech is there so he can take a signal reading. In the work order, if you get your signals and drop-line checked, and you have an old SA box, you can also request that the tech update that box, so that you will be able to enjoy the most modern technology on your TV that TWC has to offer.
If signals are good, box is swapped and is modern, and you are still not getting VOD content within three to seven days of being aired, you need to contact the stations to let them know that the shows are not being posted to VOD in a timely manner.
