Agree 100% Do the steps below to uniinstall Mcafee completely, and use Windows Defender instead:
Dump McAfee by uninstalling it from Ad-Remove Programs in Control Panel. It is a huge bloated resource hog that offers only limited protection.
Now Reboot Your Machine.
Download the Macafee Product Removal Tool and run it. This will get all of Macafee off your computer here:

Reboot your machine again.
Open Windows Defender. Make sure it is up to date with the green check box showing. If not follow the prompts to update the definitions and run a scan.
Your computer will now be less bloated with Macafee gone and a much lighter but very good AV in it's place, Windows Defender.
