These are two separate questions:
To Get The Modern Guide- The modern guide as HD screens, cover art, and expanded search options, plus tons more storage if you have DVR service. You MUST get an Arris, Cisco, or Samsung box to get the modern guide like your example in the video. The SA boxes are two old and can't fo the modern guide. The same is true with Motorola boxes, which are also too old to run the modern guide.
You should call TWC and say your SA box is really slow, this counts as a problem and you need an updated model (Arris, Cisco, or Samsung.) You can also send a PM with your name, address, and account information to Spectrum Use this link to send your account information and your request for a newer model box, which has the modern guide:
Caller ID On TV- Caller ID on TV requires BOTH a subscription to Spectrum Digital Cable AND Spectrum Voice (Phone) Service. New or swapped boxes will take up to 24 hours for Caller ID on TV to show on the screen. If you have both services, and you have waited for at least that time to get Caller ID on TV, contact Spectrum to activate this feature. Caller ID works independently of the boxes, and as long as you have Cable TV and Phone Service, with the up to 24 grace period wait on a new box, you should have Caller ID on TV. Use the Help link I provided above and they can help you with both of these issues, including getting a modern box, and Phone Service if you don 't already have this from Spectrum.
