I recently switched from Dish to bundle......considering going back.....their dvr worked.

The (5) code has nothing to do with the box at all. Nor does the message ""Program did not revord because channel was not available (5)", It means that there was a signal or transmission problem at the time the show was set to record. This is often due to Switched Digital Video. Sometimes if tons of subscribers are tuned in to a channel at the same time that a show is set to start, you will get this message. If you consistently get that message, you may need to call Spectrum and get your signals checked out specifically for that channel.
