Besides the server being ridiculously slow and locking up constantly, this is absolutely ridiculous. I'm well under my storage space limit and have (or had) made a personal decision to keep my records. When I tried to contact "customer support" that system also failed. Chat doesn't work, no one answers the support phone number.

That above situation is a nightmare. So much in fact that I have discouraged Spectrum Customers from using their ISP based email services:
I would recommend any of the following excellent web-mail alternatives.
Yahoo Mail: https://overview.mail.yahoo.com/
Gmail: https://www.google.com/gmail/about/
Outlook: https://outlook.live.com/owa/?authRedirect=true
Before getting your free email account, I would recommend Ad Block Plus if you don't already have an ad blocker in your browser. This add-on can be found in any top browsers' web search and installed, It will block about 99% of banner ads not only on web pages, but also in You Tube videos. If you already have an ad blocker and it works for you, keep it. Note that you should only have one ad-blocker on each browser to avoid conflicts with competing ad blockers.
I would also recommend sending a PM to our Forum Help Team along with your name, address, phone number, and account number. Mention all those sent messages and see if there is any way that they can be restored to your account.
In the meantime, I would recommend one of the free alternative web mail services above. Good luck!
