The calls appear to be routed through local numbers so that they reach my phone even though they originate from an automated system. I'm getting as many calls now, if not more, than I did "pre-nomorobo". I often get upwards of a dozen calls a day in this fashion - sometimes five or six from the same local number. What follows is like the old game "whack-a-mole". I add a number to my blocked caller list, but within a few days the calls resume from other local numbers. I suspect that the way these scumbags do this is illegal. The carriers should press regulatory and criminal justice agencies to break these outfits under RICO statutes.
Hey,
Sup? My calls are still blocked by Nomorobo, but it seems that more are trying to get through. Is Nomorobo still blocking your calls, or are they coming through? Check your Phone settings in "My Account" for Nomorobo just to make sure that Nomorrobo is still activated as well as Answer Anywhere.
If you notice a pattern and somehow there are numbers getting through, you can go to Nomorrobo's website and register or log in. Than, you can report the numbers that are not being blocked. You can also Whitelist any numbers being blocked that shouldn't be blocked.
