This sounds like a bad box. There was an issue with video services in the California area some days ago where an update failed. Power off your box completely once again, wait for a minute, and plug it back in and see if it boots.
If it boots and stays good. Your OK. If it doesn't, you will need to contact Spectrum for a service call. You can set that up the fastest by going to Twitter and logging in to your Twitter account. (Get a Twitter account if you don't have one.) Than follow the @Ask_Spectrum page. After following the page, send a Direct Tweet, (A Private Message) to that Twitter account saying that your box isn't booking. They will set up a service call. Also request a signal check and drop line test in the work order. You will also need to PM your account information and they will set that up for you.
Try not to reboot any boxes, modems, or routers for six hours prior to your service call. Reboots reset the error code signals back to zero, and the tech needs to see those error codes for the signal and drop line test. If your signals and lines are good, your wiring is good inside the home, the box will need to be replaced by the tech. A new box will never solve bad signals or line problems, so its important that these be checked first. Let us know about your appointment!
