Hi Peanut,
Yes there are a couple of options. You can set up a purchase pin and a blocking pin:
Purchase Pin- Prevents unauthorized Pay-Per View and Movie On Demand orders, by requiring the entry of a four-digit pin number before purchase. (Typically OOOO. But this can be changed to a number of your choosing when you set up Purchase Pin Protection.)
Blocking Pin- Prevents the viewing of shows with objectionable content. (Crude language, nudity and violence) from being viewed without entering a four-digit pin number. You can also block by time periods, ratings, or channels. If you block by a rating, any higher level rating content will also be blocked. For example, if you block all PG-13 rating movies, any R-rated and X-rated content will be blocked as well. You set up a blocking pin by going under Settings to Parental Control. Than Block the content you want, than turn on Parental Control.
(The Blocking Pin default, just like Purchase Pin is typically OOOO. But this can be changed to a number of your choosing when you set up Blocking Pin Protection.)
Here is information on how to set up and modify Purchase Pins and Blocking Pins:
Important Note- Parental Control MUST be turned on in Settings for Blocking Pins to work!
After you have established a pin number or numbers, (They can be the same or different for Purchase Pin and Blocking Pin) write down the number or numbers and keep it in a place where you remember it, but your kids don't know where it is located.
If you ever forget your Purchase Pin number, or Blocking Pin number, call Customer Care, and they will help you recreate a new pin number.
