Hey Guys,
I have received word that the EPIX CHANNEL has chosen to go to a stand-alone service for $15.00 a month beginning on or after January 8th, 2019. This means that in some markets, it will no longer be a part of the Spectrum Gold Package, and would need to be purchased ala-carte. Sources told me that the channel was sold and is now under new ownership. This is what appeared on one customer's bill in Dublin, Ohio:
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SPECTRUM TV SERVICE Effective on or after January 8, 2019, EPIX will be available for subscription only as an a la carte service. For more information, or to add EPIX as an a la carte service, call 1-855-70-Spectrum. To view a current Spectrum channel lineup visit www.spectrum.com/channels. To view this notice online visit www.spectrum.net/programmingnotices. 12/1
I don't know if this programing change affects ALL Spectrum Gold subscribers, or is on a division by division basis. My bill in Milwaukee/Metro Wisconsin did not mention anything about this change. If the Epix channels are removed, could we POTENTIALLY see a drop in the monthly cost of the Spectrum Gold Package?
