There is no excuse for charging so much for existing customers. You can say "industry standard" all you want, but this is exactly why piracy is so rampant. You make a LOT more money by having a lot of customers that pay a lot less than you do by gouging the existing customers. Not to mention that your pool of existing customers is growing smaller daily, and it is highly unlikely that you will ever get back the ones you have lost, which is about to have me added to that list.

To make matters worse, existing customers can't even go online to see what packages might be available to them. You  have to talk to customer service for that, and that is only so they can waste your time trying to talk you into keeping services. That is NOT a good business model for any company, and if you had any sense at all you would see this.

Actually,

Existing customers CAN see what specials are available to them, but to see them:

1.) You must be logged into "My Account" to see them with your user id and password, like you use to log into the forums here.

2.) You should wait till your existing promotion expires and than log in to your account to see what options there are.  Sadly, note that all the nice offers for new customers will go away when you log in to see existing customer deals, which aren't many online.

3.) The best option is to wait till your promotion expires, and than call to ask about any discounts.  Most promotions are good for 12 months.
