I switched to a bundle over to TWC/Spectrum in October. Previously had only Internet services from them. They said I was behind $100 for my Internet when I was on the phone to get the bundle to add cable. Never missed a payment having Internet service for 2 years prior. Where that $100 delinquint bill came from idk. So I said fine. Bundle us up and I'll pay it. The first month I had the bundle I get cut off from services because of the $100 I owed. So I paid it again! 1st Bill I got was for $43 from the bundle. Didnt think nothing of it. Paid it. Services continued. Thought it was low because I just paid them twice. Next month of November I get the bill of $169.00. Sounds normal what my bill is supposed to be. Paid that, services continued. Didn't think anything was wrong still at this point. December's bill came in on the 17th and says I owe $401.56!!!! Call Spectrum to see what the problem was. They immediately cut off all my services and demand I pay something like $270. After i complain we come to the solution "they say" (as in time warner and spectrum) that SOMEONE ELSE HAD PAID MY BILL in October! Wtf? How is that even possible I ask and who paid my bill and they say they CAN'T GIVE ME THAT INFO. So I'm sitting here with no services at all because of a bill mistake THEY MADE. If i would have gotten the correct billing sent to me I would have paid it but now i refuse to continue to pay them OVER AND OVER for THEIR mistake and they refuse to own up to it. Customer service sucks and noone there gives a **bleep** about the situation or their own screw ups. Only on month 3 of Spectrum and services were cut off 4 times. Ridiculous

Man,

That's bad!  I wonder if your account information got hacked or something?  I would contact TWC-Spectrum and ask then to do a history of payments on your account, and what you would need to do to get your services back in good standing.  Tell them you need an account review.  In addition to that, ask them to have a Billing Department Supervisor contact you about the part of the bill or payment in question.  Ask for this payment and account review by sending a PM to   In that PM, your name, address, phone, number, and account # should be included.  Say you you suspect fraud on your account, and TWC-Spectrum needs to begin a payment/credit account review history.

Is all your bank data and credit card information secure?  Review your statements and any online activity to be sure.  If you see anything suspicious, change your password associated with the accounts in question.  If you are using a computer online, update your anti-virus software definitions and run a full virus scan.  Check to make sure your computer is updated with the latest operating system patches.  Contact your bank and credit card company if you suspect  fraud.  I would change your password for all TWC-Spectrum services right away..  Please get this issue reviewed, by sending some account information, and a description of this problem via PM to

Anyone else other than you paying the cable bill at your residence?  If so, the other person may also be a victim of fraud.  I mention this because you said, "Someone else paid my bill..."

Even if you choose to drop cable services, get this checked out first.  It is needed to protect yourself from security issues.  Let us know what happens.
