Pay for View... is like Fights , sports,,,or Special event types of entertainment, not everyday movies released on DVD. Or direct to DVD. Not sure what youre asking, or if in some locations they don't even have that... it could be possible I suppose, I just never have been without that option for at least 15 years over various providers. OK, a couple of questions to help with PPV and VOD (Video on Demand.)
.) What is the make and model of your cable box? If the box is new or has been recently swapped out, it must be authorized to your account before PPV's can be ordered. You can authorize the box to your account by going on-line to "My Account." Use the same login ID user name and password credentials to activate your box.
.) What is your current level of service with Spectrum? You MUST have a cable box or DVR from Spectrum in order to receive PPV/VOD. If you have a Digital Tuning Adaptor (DTA) you will not be able to order any PPV or VOD. Contact Spectrum for an authorized box or DVR and activate it if this is the case.
.) I could be wrong, but I don 't think Starter TV qualifies for PPV/VOD access. You would have to have a Preferred Digital TV package through legacy TWC such as Variety Pass/Preferred TV or one of Spectrum's packages, such as Spectrum Select, Silver, or Gold. You can also bundle High-Speed Internet and Voice Services for a Triple Play package. Contact Spectrum for details if interested.
.) Go to your cable guide and find the channel that says Free Movies on Demand and try to access it. If you can get a Free Movie, your On Demand should be working across the board. If not, please check your statement for the services you have from Spectrum and report back to us. If you meet the above qualifications for PPV/VOD and still do not have access to those stations, get a tech out to find out what is happening. Go through the steps above, and see if you need to update your equipment and/or service levels first.
