I rarely, if ever, use the DVR and I see I am paying 11.99 a month for it.  So, does anyone know if I turn the DVR in and get just a regular box, will this affect anything on my account?  Like will I still be able to use the Spectrun TV app.

I know from experience how things like this can be tied to other things, so judt trying to avoid future headaches.

Hey MCD,

I would recommend another person check this just to verify.  But this is what I know:

1.) If your DVR service is part of a package or promotion, you may LOSE your discount.  I would contact the Spectrum Help Team through this forum with your account information. ( Send a PM) and ask if your DVR service is part of a discounted package?

2.) If your DVR is not part of a discounted package, you will no longer have to pay the added service fee on your bill.

3.) You will lose the ability to pause all TV shows except for On Demand.  Start Over shows and channels will remain.

4.) You will not have Remote DVR Manager anymore obviously, but should be able to watch Live TV, On Demand, and any Premium Channels to which you subscribe.  Your service level,  Choice, Gold, Silver Package channel sets, should remain untouched.

5.) The main thing is to find out if you DVR service is part of a package deal or is ala-carte?
