Hi James.  Thank you for your reply.

I tried what you suggested and it didn't work.

I also have 2 shows that refuse to be deleted.  I delete them and then the next time I go to my DVR menu they are there again.

Also several times a week when I change the channel it freezes and tells me that channel is not available. however that's not true because I can get it in another room just fine.  In that case I have to reboot the DVR.  It's getting to be annoying.

I have a Spectrum 210 box.

Good Morning,

There is a bug on Spectrum World Box Receivers (no clock) that run Spectrum Guide, where if a show or series is not in the database, it will not delete from "My Library."  You can delete individual recordings , but the series itself will remain in your Library unless an instance of the show or series is found in the database.

In what city and state are you located?  Give zip code please.  Mods can check for known issues relating to this GDVR-1006 error code. Some questions about the code:

1.) What is the show or series that you are trying to "Save" as a "Do Not Delete" instead of "Save Until Space is Needed?

2.) Give the channel number for the show in question and the call letters please

3.) Does this same problem that you describe in your message happen with other shows and series or just this one show/series? (This is an important question.)

4.) Can you use the box keyboard to search for the show or series that you are trying to keep until deleted?  Report back please.

My thought is that anyone else running a Spectrum Guide 210 box can search for this show and see if they can reproduce the error?

10314 - Staten Island, NY

1.) What is the show or series that you are trying to "Save" as a "Do Not Delete" instead of "Save Until Space is Needed?

All Elite Wrestling:  Dynamite S2,E4 recorded 1/22 - Channel 3 TNTHD - Series DVR'd 8:00  - 10:00 pm

2.) Give the channel number for the show in question and the call letters please

Channel 3 - TNTHD

3.) Does this same problem that you describe in your message happen with other shows and series or just this one show/series? (This is an important question.)

I just tried with another episode from a Series I DVDR - My Lottery Dream Home recorded 7/3/20 on Channel 51 - HGTV 8:30 pm

4.) Can you use the box keyboard to search for the show or series that you are trying to keep until deleted?  Report back please.

I don't understand what you want me to do?

My thought is that anyone else running a Spectrum Guide 210 box can search for this show and see if they can reproduce the error?

Good answers, two things needed:

3.) Did the "My Lotttery Dream Home " series produce the Error Code GDVR-1006 or not?

4.)  I meant when you use the keyboard to do a show search (Search using the on-screen keyboard) is there more than one episode of All Elite Wrestling:  Dynamite S2,E4 recorded 1/22 - Channel 3 TNTHD - Series DVR'd 8:00  - 10:00 pm that shows up. Does a search for just "All Elite Wrestling Show up?" If the program does not show up in the database, this could be another issue with the search listing bug that I described above relating to World Box and Sectrum Guide.

Customers running Spectrum Guide on a World Box Model 210.  Do you get the same error code as    gets when setting "All Elite Wrestling:  Dynamite S2,E4 recorded 1/22 - Channel 3 TNTHD - Series DVR'd 8:00  - 10:00 pm" as a "Do Not Delete" or does the program not even show up in your search?

We will see what other customers and staffers report concerning this error message.  Thank you for this updated information.

Hi ,

If you watch a movie and than delete it, is it correct that you don't get the error code GDVR-1006?

Also, if you DO NOT RECORD a show as a series, but you only set to record 1 episode from the series and you go to delete it, do you get the GDVR-1006 code?

If the answer to both questions is "No", than I think we have the known World Box Spectrum Guide Series bug  where if a seres no longer is in the database it does not delete.   I believe in that case, you would have to delete each series recording episode by episode.  But the series itself will remain in your Library.

We will see what others have to say about this listing data.

I just got a new remote control from Spectrum to replace my old one.  However, the page up/down keys are not working (they do not do anything when I bring up the cable guide).  The remote is the UR5U-8790L.  My cable box/dvr combo is the Spectrum 201-H.  Any ideas?

Hello,

I have this remote, but I run the ODN guide on the legacy Cisco 9865 box.  One thing to note is that you have the newer box called "The World Box" without a clock that runs the new Spectrum Guide. The most likely explanation is that the Page Up/Down button does not function with the new Spectrum Guide World Box software.  This is especially true if you press the Page Up/Down button, the CABLE light goes on and nothing happens.  You have some choices that may not be the greatest options, but here goes:

1.) You try to get a box with a clock on it- Unfortunately, some offices are only giving out the new World Boxes and aren't giving out the clock boxes anymore.  If you have DVR service and you get a box with a clock on it, your box will only have two recording tuners instead of four on the World Box.  It is almost impossible to get a six-tuner box anymore.  You could call Spectrum and get a tech out, but there is no way of knowing what box or remotes he is going to have on his truck. And if you call, the phone rep might just say, "You can swap out the remote, or order a new remote, but there is no guarantee of what remote you are going to get if you order by phone, or even go to the office,"  It's like drawing from a lottery bin, whatever they have in their inventory.

2.) You go to a Spectrum Store and ask for a new remote that comes with the new World Box- Please note that a lot of customers like the remote that you already have, better. so this second option would be to keep your remote,

3.) You leave everything as it is-If your box is working OK and other buttons on the remote light up when keys are pressed the remote is working fine, and Page Up/Down is not offered on World Box with Spectrum Guide  #3 is my personal recommendation because you never know the condition or type of box you are going to get in an exchange. The same is true for the remote,

Thanks.  I called tech support and they helped me fix the problem.  It looks like the remote wasn't programmed correctly for the particular box, which seems odd since every other function of the remote worked except the page up/down buttons. They told me to reprogram the remote to the box using the 3-digit code "001" and that solved everything.

Glad that worked!

Listen, can you provide the steps on getting the three digit code "001" to reprogram the remote so that Page Up/Down works on Spectrum Guide?  Not a huge deal, but we do have a ton of customers with that brand of remote.  It is one of the most popular, the Clickr Backlite, and if people had the steps to reprogram the remote with the "OO1 code" they could also get Page Up/down working on a Spectrum Guide World Box.

For reference, this is to reset the UR5U-8790L. remote so that Page Up/Down works.  Thanks in advance!

Sure....

1. On the remote, press the [CBL] button and the [OK/SEL] button simultaneously for 3 seconds, and the [CBL] button's LED will turn solid red.

2. Point the remote to the cable box and press 001. The cable box should power off.  (If it does not turn off, then you may have a different make/model cable box.)

3. Press the [CBL] button again to store the code on the remote.

4. Press the power button to turn the cable box back on again.

Hopefully everything will work.

Awesome tips to reset your remote!

One thing though is that this may reset your code for your TV on/off functionality.  Maybe it won't, but it is possible that you might have to reprogram the remote for your TV.   did you have to re-enter your TV on/off codes when you reset your remote?

Hi -

I have a subscription to the "normal Channels".  When I go to On Demand on my PC, I have more options of movies to watch, for example FXM.  I do not have a subscription to that channel.  When I go to On Demand through my TV, any movies on FXM are locked.  The message comes up "need to subscribe to this channel".  If I go through On Demand Online (through my PC), I can now choose that movie to watch.  I can click on the "watch on TV" button, and it will stream on my tv.  Was I charged extra to watch the movie on FXM?

Hello,

What is your subscription level? (i.e Spectrum Choice? Spectrum Select? Spectrum Silver, or Spectrum Gold?)  Also, what is the make and model of your cable box?  Additionally, what is your City, State, and Zip?  Through this information, we can find out if that channel FXM is in your subscription package.

To my knowledge, FXM is not a premium channel.  If you have it as part of your monthly service plan, you should be getting it both on Demand and on your cable box. Is this a recently installed cable box?  Here is what I would suggest:

1.) Go to Spectrum's site and enter your zip code to view your channel line up by package in your area.  Check your monthly statement if you are not sure of your service level.

2.) If FXM is listed in your package and you are not getting it on your cable box, try rebooting your cable box.  Sometimes new installed boxes don't synch right away with the account information.

3.) If FXM is in your package and the reboot still does not work, you will need to call Customer Care and say, "I receive FXM as part of my (name monthly service) package.  I can watch it online through my Spectrum Account, but the channel is locked out on my cable box.  Rebooting did not fix this."  The CSR will send codes to your box and account and might reboot the box over the phone to make sure that you can get FXM on all devices.

4.) If FXM is not in your package, you might just want to enjoy the fluke of watching it online only lol!  Because if you call, you will most likely have to upgrade your monthly services to get it on your box, and you will most likely lose the online access when the CSR sends the sync codes to your account.  If this is the case, you haven't done anything wrong, the issue is on Spectrum's end.
