I have to agree with 13 on this one.

Deleting a post that was intended to be helpful to others comes off (at least to me) as censorship and refusal to address the issue at hand. A ticket number is helpful to resolve this and other issues.

I politely request that the mods not be so quick to arbitrarily delete posts, or if they do, that they provide a VALID explanation as to why. If not, the post should be restored. The guidelines need to be fair to everyone and applied equally. No selective enforcement, please.

I also agree with Joey on this,

If the post was helpful and especially with a ticket number it should be restored.  If there was something in the post that violated community protocol, that part only should be deleted .  But how could posting of a ticket number be a violation?  Especially since a CSR Representative Supervisor said it was OK?

I would also politely request that this post and Cdeer's post be brought back, especially as Cdeer like myself is from Wisconsin.  If it's needed to edit account information than that should be done, or the post was negative against the company that part should be deleted.

But having the explanations about progress on the missing ODN-keyboard search data is a great thing as it helps all members of our Spectrum Community learn what is happening with a month-long problem.  Specific details give the best help.  While something for example like "We are working on the problem."  doesn't give specifics about the progress of the problem.

To keep this thread on topic with the progress of working to restore ODN Navigator Guide-missing keyboard search data, I will provide my views on the deletion of posts in the Community Forum Suggestions and Q&A  Forum.

Thanks!
